#37 Personal Reflection

 The Checklist is finally complete!!

This journey of my videos has been a whirlwind of emotions. Definitely it had its ups and was pretty exciting, but it has also been super exhausting (lol). I would say if this was my only class, I would be GAS at it but having three other Cambridge classes have not been easy, and it had put a lot of stress on me. So sadly, there was a lot of frustration, sleepless nights, and crying frankly, but there have been some been fun times. Creating my marketing, making presentations, creating my film intro and feeling like a real film maker (and honestly the researching and planning was so interesting, especially when it came to being inspired by different films and super analyzing it, seeing what details/things filmmakers and producers think about)

The actual journey of these videos by myself has been a lot, maybe too much don’t really recommend doing it alone, but if you don’t want to deal with people who can’t hold their weight then I guess go get it girl (or guy). Doing filming, editing, creating, scheduling, researching, planning, crying, everything by yourself is a LOT on your plate, and that is why in the real world, film makes have a TEAM, because there’s no way for one director/film maker/producer to do an entire film on their lonesome. And I mean this was just the intro and another video with blogs, if it’s hard now, imagine other things (yeesh).

I’m grateful for this journey and the lengths and limits it has taken me, proving my God given strength, but I’m also very tired. Loved doing this, but I didn’t “like” the process you know. It’s like when couples say “I love you, but I don’t like when…” that is how it feels like with this portfolio. A relationship. And that ties in with the themes of love and heartbreak in my film intro. This was such a loving and fun experience, but it also broke my heart and was tiring and frankly a bit annoying sometimes. Like a relationship.

I’m so glad to be able to document my journey and experience it with the ones who’ve been reading. I hope I get good marks, we will see. (My college life is riding on this lol)
