#36 Editing Pt.3!!!

Just a quick one for today…

Editing the CCR Pt.1 and the film intro took over three days. Gathering footage, cutting, splicing, putting voiceovers, adding pictures and music, took FOREVER. Honestly, it took the entirety of spring break to really do it, but truly three days: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (and well now Monday aka 4 days), were the days in focusing on the final stretch of this portfolio.

Ultimately, I chose Cap Cut to put all the footage together, with transitions and music, and after exporting, I put the final videos into Canva, to easily put photos and videos next to my face, and place opening credits. So, it was a tag team type action. Honestly, this process has been tiring and stressful considering the fact of what I had to do even PRIOR to editing and AFTERWARDS. Gathering the footage took multiple emails and some didn't even send, so I had to do “i cloud drop”, which made me click each individual video/image and download it, and that occurred at least 20 times. When I finished putting the first CCR together, and was SO READY to export, guess what, MY COMPUTER HAD NO SPACE (Just great huh just great, Praise be to God still though, He gets me through these tough times and tests). So, I had to delete a bunch of stuff, (it was like 600,000 items….) but in that culmination of items, important stuff got deleted (at least now it was more difficult to access files), and my computer looks empty now. I was afraid of big stuff being important, but I saw one folder taking too much space and thought “this is meaningless, ah let’s do it* DELETE*”. Side note, this was all very late because I was working, but still not very smart decisions here guys. When I deleted all those items, no files from the CCR got lost, and I’m like “oh, ain’t this a swell time”, so I had to go back, figure out what I was missing, and cut down files again. After the whole back n forth (which occurred over TWO DAYS YES DOS DIAS), it was FINALLY ready to export. I was scared because it was LAGGY AS HECK, but it turned out to be ok, not perfect, but just ok, (I just need a pass at this point). And I mean that was JUST the CCR Pt.1, the film intro was quicker, but I noticed I was getting short on time, which was weird. I normally am OVER THE TOP, but for the intro I was just fine. The longest process for that was adding the music, transitions, logo, and title card.

After exporting the two, I put the film intro Canva, where the opening credits were placed in. the CCR Pt.1 on the other hand was too big to upload to Canva, so I had to resort to just putting the pictures, videos, etc. that were going to be put in the actual video, into the blog itself. I'm just glad it's ready to send out! (Thank the Lord finally, i get to enjoy spring break ~ not really, I have two other homework and it's the last day…yay… :))
