What is a production logo?
According to Wikipedia, “A production logo, studio logo,[1] vanity card, vanity plate, or vanity logo is a logo used by movie studios and television production companies to brand what they produce and to determine the production company and the distributor of a television show or film.”
A production company has its own branded logo, that is made to be unique and recognizable to audiences, so every film made with that production company has the logo in the building, so the viewers can associate the production company with that particular film (and blame them if it's bad or praise them for producing such a great film lol).
Inspiration/Ones that stand out
Ones that pop into my head immediately are the ones by Walt Disney Studios, Marvel Studios, Columbia Pictures, 24th Century FOX, and that one with the lion (yeah i forgot). These stood out because it showed me that the production logo does not have to be necessarily still, and it should have as much thought as the rest of the film. The Marvel Studios one in particular (the comic book flip logo) inspired the flicker and vintage look in my production logo. (attached below)

Final Thoughts
The production logo was one of the last things I've done, because I find joy in designing and I saw it as a quick process. The colors and vintage look represent what I like (vintage all the way baby), and the flickering along with the scratchiness of the background also adds to that vintage theme, and an “established”, long-lasting production company. The “K.A.Y” just represents my initials that just happen to be the first three letters of my first name, so it’s playing to that fun fact. Here is the final production logo:
